The Art of Craft.

Fish & chips with Clarry to celebrate the end of term!

Katrina the Cleaner and the boys.

My sick babies.

Well the school holidays turned out to be a bust! By Monday morning Ace had croup and by Thursday it had developed into bronchitis. Sonny followed suit and then Steve copped it too.  Over a week later we are finally on the mend and the boys are happy again.

It wasn't all dull though, it was quite nice to take it slow and go back to the good old days of not having to be anywhere at any time.  Ace and Sonny were both thrilled to see Katrina the cleaner, Ace hadn't seen her for a few months because of pre-school so it was quite the reunion.  I have always referred to her as Katrina the cleaner to help Ace remember the multitude of new people in his life so it was lucky that Katrina found it funny/cute when he constantly called her Katrina cleaner!  Ace has a thing with always using adults names... a lot, particularly those he likes.

Lately I decided I needed to get my craft on for Ace's sake, so after avoiding it for many years we created a craft box, purchased all manner of craft like things and got crafting.  We made a rocket and some medals.  I learnt a few valuable lessons, it is hard to craft with a toddler in the mix, Sonny needs his own toddler version of said craft activity, it doesn't need to be perfect, documenting craft will sometimes end in tears and be prepared for obsession closely followed by trashing then complete disregard!

The fruits of our craft labour! And tears.
In other news we had our first babysitter... ever!  Ace was beside himself excited, asking all day is Tanya coming yet and was all coy when she arrived.  Was unreal to go out for dinner with the hubby and not be wrangling a child. When we got home Ace & Tanya had done some spontaneous craft that of course outshone my previous efforts! At least we all had fun.

Chocolate Milkshakes at the Village Cafe.

Holy shit it's me! - taken by me of course, thanks babe!
Ace came good & Sonny finally stopped moaning for Father's Day which was spent at home!  Shaun came over for lunch and Ace (who's hearing must be a little stuffed up!) badgered him in a very loud voice all afternoon.  But I think all was forgiven when he gave his new buddy a big cuddle for Father's Day!

Big Father's Day Cuddle for Shaun.

My sick boys - Happy Father's Day babe xx
